Sutton Place

One of New York City’s smallest and most exclusive neighborhoods, Sutton Place, is loaded with regal townhouses and lovely pre-war apartment buildings. Notable architecture of the neighborhood includes the legendary One Sutton Place South, designed by Rosario Candela and the palatial One Sutton Place North, built with Vanderbilt money. The small neighborhood of Sutton Place is defined by its quiet environs and upscale homes. Named after the Avenue that runs from 53th Street to 59th Street along the East River, Sutton Place is a picturesque enclave of cul-de-sacs, co-ops, brownstones and private driveways.
